Spray Rails

You will need one piece of 1/8" x 1/8" x 24" basswood from Bag Number Two (#2) to complete this section.

Cut two spray rails from the basswood strip to the lengths shown on the plan. The front end of each rail is to be cut at a 45" angle, as shown.

After painting the spray rails, glue them to the hull with Slow CA, parallel to the waterline and flush with the transom, as shown here and on the plan.




 


Dashboard Molding

Cut the dashboard molding from one piece of 24" mahogany to fit across the rear edge of the dash­board, as shown. Apply Slow CA to this piece and curve it into position against the rear edge of the dashboard.





Chafing Gear

Use the remaining piece of mahogany from the dashboard and the scraps from the other moldings to cut the chafing gear to the lengths shown on the plan. Glue these pieces to the right side of the hull with Slow CA, as shown on the Side View of the plan.
