Add the plywood forms to frame up the sonar dome.

Roger's Notes:  I balsa blocks to the bottom and then sanded to shape.  Then added about 16 oz. of lead to this area.

Roger's Notes:  The sonar dome is curved and you need a good building strategy.  I plan to use filler.   The process of adding filler, allowing it to dry, sand then add more will take days to complete.  The finished dome is then covered with fiberglass cloth and resin.   Plenty strong enough to take the minor bumps and scrapes at the lake.

Now continue to plank the hull.  This should finish the planking.  Remove from the building board.   Sand fill, and re-sand as necessary.

Finish planking the sonar dome.

Roger's Notes:  I did not plank the sonar dome, but used balsa blocks and balsa filler to bring it into shape.

Roger's Notes:  I added filler.  The picture above shows the bow before I sanded it to it's final shape.

Roger's Notes:  The picture above shows a template taken from the plans.  It shows how much work I have to bring the bow into a scale shape.  Again, this is a good example of "sport scale".
